Purpose of job: -
- Support the “backend systems” in use at DEK, most particularly the current Oracle based ERP system.
- Advise on and help with any issue with other Oracle systems, possibly with views to integration.
-Support technologies integrated with the ERP system such, but not limited to, new printing software system and e-trading systems.
Main Responsibilities: -
·Assist the CIO in defining the function and replacement of any ERP in line with strategic direction.
·Ensure full compatibility with regards to reporting and other functions for the HP-UX UNIX based ERP and allied systems with existing and projected systems requirements as far as possible.
·Assume all responsibility and accountability for the Database used by the ERP systems, including database development and day-to-day management.
·Assume responsibility for hardware associated with ERP systems and ensure high availability on a global level, with third party maintenance contract as may be appropriate.
·Maintain and advance in-house methodologies, standards and other technologies appropriate to ERP Database ad allied technologies such as, but not limited to reporting from the database.
·Provide ERP and Oracle related consultancy to other members of the MIS team and other departments within the company.MSB Technology (a division of MSB International PLC) is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
